We’re Carmela (of Carmela Joy Photography) and Jacob (of Sancho Films), and while we each run our own creative businesses, some of our favorite work happens when we team up. As a destination wedding photo and video team, we offer seamless, cohesive coverage for couples who care about preserving their wedding day in a way that’s real, emotional, and artfully told.

We’re also engaged ourselves and currently planning our own destination wedding - so we understand firsthand just how personal and meaningful this season is. We bring that same heart and intentionality into every wedding we capture.

THE BOOKING PROCESS

  • Fill out the inquiry form and tell us a little about you, your partner, and your vision for the day.

  • If your date’s available (fingers crossed it is!) We’ll reach out to schedule a video call. This is our chance to get to know each other, hear your story, and see if we’re the perfect fit.

  • After our chat, we’ll put together a customized package based on what matters most to you - whether that’s multi-day coverage, full day wedding coverage, film photography, or just the essentials.

  • Once you’re ready to make it official, a signed contract and a retainer secures your date on our calendar. From there, you’re officially booked and the countdown to your best day ever begins!

  • Once you’re officially booked, we’re here for you every step of the way. Not just as your photographer/videographer team, but as friends and resources you can lean on throughout the planning process. Whether you need timeline advice, vendor recs, or a pep talk before the big day, we’ve got you. We’ll work together to make sure you feel prepped, supported, and so excited for what’s ahead.

  • We hired Jacob for our wedding and he was absolutely amazing! Part of our package included video at our engagement shoot and we loved this idea. We had no idea what to expect when we first got there and we were super nervous. He made us feel so comfortable and truly like we were models and knew what we were doing. When we got back our sneak peak we were literally at a loss for words. Our wedding day was even better! We also hired his partner Carmela as our photographer and the two of them together is an absolute treat. They work incredibly well together and their talent is insane. Our bridal party and guests can’t stop talking about how great they were. It felt like we’ve known them forever. We are so sad our day is over but we hope to work with them again in the future!
