So if any of you are fans of Fixer Upper (don’t even try and deny it, I know you all love Chip and Joanna), you know that “farmhouse chic” has been the name of the interior design game for the past few years. However, how many of you can actually claim to have an actual farm as inspiration? Well, the couple I’m going to introduce you today, Lexi and Jacob, have deep roots in farming and agriculture. Jake is a third generation farmer, and Lexi works at her father’s agriculture company. They are a low-key, down to earth (literally. ha!), loving couple who are so much fun and just absolutely perfect for each other.

They met in high school, and Lexi would not give Jake the time of day. Ever determined, Jake didn’t give up and eventually they started dating. Six years later, here they are! Jake even asked Lexi to marry him in a field after asking her to check on a broken tractor with him. Definitely a unique (and SO sweet) proposal!

True to who they are, Jake and Lexi had a gorgeous outdoor ceremony with mountain and farm views all around them. They pulled in pale blue, charcoal gray, and soft green hues, and gorgeous white florals. Lexi’s dress had incredible lace accents and she was the most beautiful bride! The green fields in the background made such a perfect backdrop for the wedding party! Just look how beautiful they look.

When asked if she had advice for future brides, Lexi said “Let go of any stress you might have and know that everything doesn't have to be perfect! The most important thing is you, your future husband and making that day about you two and your love for one another.” The perfect advice from a bride who did exactly that. Lexi and Jake are a beautiful couple who planned a stunning wedding, but what stood out on their wedding day the most was how much they loved each other. Lexi & Jake, I have no doubt that your marriage will be beautiful, fruitful, and will last forever. You two are perfect for each other, and I loved capturing your special day. Congratulations!!!
