Your Guide to a Dreamy Breeze Hill Farm Wedding in New York
Breeze Hill Farm in Peconic, New York, honestly blew me away… like the kind of ‘wait, is this real life?’ moment where I immediately wanted to frolic through the orchards. (Don’t worry, I didn’t. At least not that day.)
The day I shot there was one of those where everything just clicked, the air smelled like apples, everyone was laughing under the trees, and the light kept getting better as the evening went on. I remember looking around and thinking, “Yep, this is exactly why I love New York weddings.” It’s one of those places that makes me forget I'm even working, I swear, I caught myself grinning behind the camera more than once.
It’s the kind of place that instantly feels cozy and familiar but still has that “wow” factor. Whether you’re planning a big weekend celebration or keeping things small with just your favorite people, Breeze Hill Farm gives you that easy, relaxed energy that makes everything feel natural and fun!
Why Breeze Hill Farm Is So Special for a Wedding in New York
Breeze Hill Farm sits on the North Fork of Long Island, one of my favorite parts of New York. It’s surrounded by wineries, beaches, and that golden light you only get near the coast. The property is covered in apple orchards with ocean views right down the hill. It’s peaceful and beautiful without feeling too polished, like the stylish friend who looks incredible without even trying.
You can get ready on-site, do your ceremony under the trees, sneak away to the orchard for portraits, and then dance all night under twinkle lights! Everything’s close together, which makes the day flow so smoothly. And because it’s all open-air and full of texture, trees, wood, soft light, your photos automatically have that clean, timeless look everyone loves! As a destination wedding photographer, I love venues like this because they don’t need anything extra. The light, the views, the movement of people just living in the moment, it all comes together naturally.
Tips for Planning Your Wedding in New York at Breeze Hill Farm
Plan Around Golden Hour
This spot was made for golden hour. Try to time your ceremony a little earlier so we can sneak out for portraits right before sunset. The light through the trees looks SO unreal!
Use the Orchard!
Seriously, don’t skip it. You can do your first look there, set up cocktail hour between the trees, or even add a cider bar (because why not lean into the vibe?).
Help Guests Plan Ahead
Since it’s tucked in Peconic, a lot of guests will be coming in from out of town. I always suggest adding a little “where to stay” section on your invites or wedding website. Greenport and Riverhead both have great hotels, and a shuttle makes life so much easier for everyone!
Keep Decor Simple
You really don’t need much here. The natural light and greenery do most of the work for you. Think soft colors, lots of texture, and simple florals; it keeps everything feeling intentional! It’s one of those spaces where less truly is more.
Slow Down and Explore
One of my favorite things about this venue is how much variety there is. Between the orchard, the open fields, and the ocean nearby, you’ll want to carve out time just to walk around, breathe, and take it all in. Those in-between moments end up being some of the most beautiful parts of the day!
Why I Love New York Weddings
There’s just something about New York weddings, especially outside the city. They’re full of character but never try too hard. You get all the charm and creativity, plus this relaxed, come-as-you-are energy that makes everything feel so genuine! You’ll see a vineyard wedding one weekend, a cozy coastal celebration the next, and somehow they all have their own flavor. That’s what I love most! No two New York weddings ever feel the same!
Other New York Wedding Venues I Love
If you’re exploring other spots that have a similar feel to Breeze Hill Farm, I’ve got you covered! New York is full of the dreamiest venues, and each one is unique in its own way! Here are a few I love!
Bedell Cellars (Cutchogue)
The vineyard views here? Unreal. It’s classy but never too serious, just that perfect wine-country feel where everyone’s laughing, sipping wine, and soaking up the sun. And the light between the vines at sunset is always stunning!
The Hedges Inn (East Hampton)
Cozy, and coastal! It’s one of those spots that feels personal right away, perfect if you want something smaller or plan to make a whole weekend out of it with close family and friends.
Blue Hill at Stone Barns (Tarrytown)
If you and your people are food lovers, this one’s a dream. The meals are incredible (like, actual works of art), and the whole space has this clean, modern farm vibe that photographs beautifully without trying too hard.
The Roundhouse (Beacon)
Upstate cool at its best. It’s industrial with a cozy twist, brick walls, waterfalls, huge windows and somehow still feels warm and intimate. It’s such a fun change of pace from the usual vineyard or barn setting.
Each of these venues has its own personality, but they all have that mix of design and heart that I love.!You can tell every couple really made it theirs and that’s what makes them stand out.
Considering Breeze Hill Farm or a New York Wedding Venue? I’d Love to be your Destination Wedding Photographer!
