Rebecca + Jay | Desert Anniversary

I love shooting weddings and engagements more than anything, but there is nothing like an anniversary shoot between a couple who have spent a year (or a few) building a solid foundation for their life together. Real life has begun, and it is so incredibly beautiful. As Ann Landers once said, “Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.” This is what I feel like I get to capture when I do anniversary shoots: two friends, deeply in love, even still.

The shoot that I’m sharing today is an anniversary shoot for Rebecca & Jay, and I feel like these two are the epitome of friendship set on fire. Their wedding was last minute, so they weren’t able to get all the pictures that they wanted to. I was so glad to be able to help them make up for it.

Rebecca & Jay, you two are obviously building such an amazing life and marriage together and I was honored to witness it. Thank you for letting me join in for a little bit!
